Extending the rebate can be useful if your customers chooses a specific frame moulding that isn’t deep enough for the mount or object. Obviously it’s better to choose a moulding with a deep rebate in the first place - you can filter by rebate depth online.

RabbetSpace from FrameTek can be mitre cut with a spacer & slip cutter and screwed to the back of a frame to extend the depth.

Our Box Extender profile adds 110mm to the depth of a frame to accommodate objects and memorabilia and has a rebate at the bottom for fixing back in place.

Fix to frame using Multipoints, or another suitable method. The 15mm face will not be hidden by the frame rebate so a window mount is needed.
