Heavy duty double-sided adhesive tape

Use: Sticking down lower-value needlework.

Benefits: Stays sticky when you reposition.

It is very sticky, and stays that way when you lift and reposition the tapestry cloth. Stick strips all around the back face of a piece of hardboard, on the smooth side.

Lay the board onto the back of the cloth, and firmly pull it over and stick it onto the exposed adhesive. Press the cloth down firmly, and frame with a second backing board to ensure that the cloth stays stuck.

Store and use at normal temperature, app 20°C. Generally, should not be used for conservation framing.

Working with self-adhesive materials in cold weather?

When the temperature drops remember to let self-adhesive tapes, PVA glues, boards and mounting films come up to room temperature before using them. Keep them that way for a few hours after application while the adhesives cure.
