Gainsborough Emulsion Cleaner is used for the removal of household dirt, tobacco smoke and coal smoke from the surface of oil paintings.

Apply with cotton swabs. Wipe the cleaned area with Neutralizer as you work, to stop the cleaning action.

The consistency of PC-27 Emulsion Cleaner may vary with temperature and separation may occur during storage. If it is too thick or separation has occurred, shake the bottle of Emulsion Cleaner. If necessary, warm the Emulsion Cleaner and then shake well, following the steps below:

1 Loosen the cap to avoid pressure build-up
2 Place the bottle in a plastic bag to keep water out
3 Place the bag in a pan of warm tap water for a few minutes
4 Remove the bottle from the bag
5 Tighten the cap
6 Shake well

Q: Hi - can you tell me if this product would remove the smell of dog from an oil painting? Many thanks

A: We wouldn't know if this cleaner removes smells and odors as we've not tested for it. It would have to be a case of trial and error.
